Salt Spring Island Artists

Salt Spring Island has long been known for the many artists that live and work here. A number of art galleries have sprung up that show work by mostly local artists. See the Business Listings for a list of some of Salt Spring Island art galleries. In the coming weeks, information about some Island artists will be gathered and displayed on these pages. Robert Bateman is perhaps one of the better known artists call Salt Spring Island home, and it was an inquiry about Mr. Bateman that lead to the creation of the "artists" section on this site.

Visit the ArtCraft site to see details of this popular event that runs right through the summer.
