Joanne Stuart is a
talented self-taught artist specializing in
strikingly realistic portraits that glow with spirit. She uses pastels, watercolors and
acrylics. Joanne marvels at how the skin and hair move over the bones and
muscles of her subjects to create the magic of a being, whether that be a
dog, horse, cat, or person. She paints because her soul calls her to it
and for the joy it brings – both to herself and her clients. Joanne has
portraits hanging in Scotland, the U.S. and across Canada. Living near
Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring Island, Joanne is also a workshop
